About this speaker

Carrie is a visual artist and art educator, and has had work displayed in short term exhibitions at The Smithsonian and The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Her artist practice is about highlighting and addressing gender norms, perfectionism and being a primary caregiver.

She is a new(ish) Mom to a strong, smart 5-year old, a furmom to a doodle that’s more muppet than dog, and currently lives in British Columbia, Canada. When she’s not playing board games with her hubby, she’s baking, reading, and making her own art.
